Sony LinkBuds Fit (Pink) review

Sony's US pink LinkBuds Fit is a closed in-ear wireless earbud with active noise cancellation, ambient sound mode, fitting supporters and four supplied soft tip sizes. Classic Audio and LE Audio use distinct codec and multipoint arrangements.

A useful fit for

A documented candidate for a sealed-tip fit with active cancellation, an ambient-sound mode, model-specific LDAC/LC3 support and two-device Classic Bluetooth multipoint. Sony supplies multiple tip sizes and fitting supporters, but source documents cannot establish comfort, seal or exercise stability for a particular ear.

The main tradeoff

Battery maxima change by codec: with noise cancellation active, Sony lists 5 hours for SBC, 5.5 for AAC, 3.5 for LDAC and 4.5 for LC3. LDAC requires a compatible host and Sony's Priority on Sound Quality setting; LC3 uses LE Audio and disables some features, including multipoint. The case is not water resistant, and the seal remains personal.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

What should I know about the four tip sizes and the fitting supporters?

The YY2975 guide lists soft tips in SS, S, M and L (two each, with M fitted at purchase) and shows how to seat the supporter in the upper ear groove. It instructs users to twist the headset to adjust its position and says the best tip should fit comfortably. Tip fit affects the seal and can change cancellation, sound and call behavior, so a size label is not a guarantee of comfort; check the complete tip kit and the seller's return policy.

How much music time does Sony list with noise cancellation on?

The Help Guide separates the result by codec: 5 hours for SBC, 5.5 for AAC, 3.5 for LDAC and 4.5 for LC3, all manufacturer maximums with cancellation active. Equalizer, DSEE Extreme, Speak-to-Chat, voice activation, Service Link and Auto Ambient Sound can reduce runtime. Plan around the codec and settings you will actually use rather than treating one maximum as universal.

Can this model keep two devices connected while using LC3?

Sony documents both multipoint and LC3, but the operating arrangements differ. LC3 uses Bluetooth LE Audio, which the guide says makes some functions unavailable; its app feature list specifically notes that multipoint cannot be used during an LE Audio connection. The finder therefore represents LC3 and two-device multipoint as separate plans. A compatible Android host is needed for the documented LE Audio route; check current host support before relying on it.

The LinkBuds Fit is the in-ear, noise-cancelling member of Sony's LinkBuds family. Unlike the open Clip and Open models, this US Pink WF-LS910N/P places a tip in the canal and uses an Air Fitting Supporter against the ear groove. That combination creates two separate fit questions: whether the tip seals comfortably and whether the supporter sits securely. This assessment is based on Sony's current US listing, support specifications and YY2975 Help Guide, not on a wear trial, sound test or measured cancellation result.

Fit starts with the tip; the supporter is a second contact point

Sony identifies the headphone as “Closed” and supplies soft tips in four sizes, SS, S, M and L, two of each; the M tips are attached at purchase. The manual instructs the user to twist the headset into place and fit the supporter into the upper ear groove. That structure is different from the Clip's earcuff-style clamp and the Open's ring-shaped loop. It may be a useful design to investigate if the shopper wants a canal seal with additional support, but the page cannot promise stability for running, comfort during long sessions or equal fit on both ears.

Tip choice can affect more than comfort. Sony's guide describes checking the tip fit and says the best size is the one that feels comfortable; the app also offers a fit assessment. A gap or incorrect size can change the seal and therefore the intended cancellation and sound. When comparing a seller offer, confirm all eight soft tips are present and that the case closes with the supporters seated. Alternate supporters and case covers are sold separately, so do not assume an accessory listing is a complete earbud kit.

ANC runtime is codec-dependent

Sony's Help Guide reports separate maximum music times with noise cancellation active: five hours on SBC, 5.5 hours on AAC, 3.5 on LDAC and 4.5 on LC3. The US summary specification shows up to 5.5 hours with NC on, but that should not be read as a promise for every codec; the model guide explains the differences. Noise cancellation and ambient listening have their own modes, and this is not an independently measured battery test. Equalizer, DSEE Extreme, Speak-to-Chat, voice activation, Service Link and Auto Ambient Sound can shorten the listed maximum. The companion case raises the total use window, but it does not change the per-charge figure.

Connection options also divide into different modes. Sony lists SBC, AAC and LDAC over Classic Audio; LDAC requires a compatible host and the app's “Priority on sound quality” setting. LC3 is the LE Audio route. A host must support that connection type, and Sony's guide notes that some features are unavailable while connected over LE Audio. The guide's feature notes specifically exclude multipoint during LE Audio. To avoid implying that every codec and two-device switching work together, the matcher keeps each single-host codec plan separate from the two-device multipoint plan.

Switching devices and managing the case

The model guide documents simultaneous Bluetooth connection to two devices, playback switching and call standby on two phones. It describes one music source at a time rather than mixed output; a third device displaces one of the active pair. This can be useful for a laptop-and-phone routine, but check the actual hosts and audio apps because a compatible earbuds feature is only one part of the connection. If LC3 is important, use a source device that supports LE Audio and expect multipoint to be unavailable in that mode.

The US Pink product page lists a charging case and USB cable among the supplied items, while the manual enumerates the case and USB-A-to-USB-C cable along with the paired tip sizes and documents. Sony gives the earbuds an IPX4 rating but says the case is not water resistant; the rating excludes openings such as sound and microphone passages. Keep the case dry and do not charge wet parts. Sony lists a maximum 21 hours total using the case; this is an aggregate claim under specific use, not a measurement of one continuous ANC session.

Who should compare the Pink configuration?

The Fit is a relevant comparison for a sealed in-ear buyer who wants ANC, an ambient-sound mode, support hardware around the ear, and codec alternatives. Its real differentiators against the open-ear LinkBuds are a tip seal, active cancellation and distinct codec-specific runtime, not just color or marketing tier. If an eight-hour ANC session is non-negotiable, the Fit's sourced maxima fall short in the listed modes; the higher non-ANC runtime is a different operating condition. Confirm the host's supported codec, test tip comfort within the seller's return period, and verify that the exact listing says WF-LS910N/P. The lead image is Pink; Black, Green and White are separate listed finishes in the same researched family, with appearance references below rather than separate technical assessments.

Other documented finishes

Sony identifies the Black, Green and White US variants by separate WF-LS910N suffixes. Best Buy calls the Green listing “Sage Green”; its suffix matches Sony's Green WF-LS910N/G. These retailer images show the earbuds only, not the complete box contents, and are appearance references rather than evidence of different operating features. Check the exact suffix and package on the seller's current page.
