Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Will I get the sealed fit and ANC of the Graphite 700350 earbuds in this set?
The U.S. earbud specification describes an ear-canal coupling and Hybrid Adaptive ANC. The MTW5 manual lists four tip sizes. This verifies the model's sealed-in-ear design, not how it will seal or feel in your ears; the BTD 700 does not change the earbud fit.
Explore this need in the finder →Can the included BTD 700 give my phone or computer a wired USB audio source?
The BTD 700 manual describes USB-C connection and a supplied-type USB-C-to-USB-A adapter for supported mobile devices or PC/Mac hosts, plug-and-play with no driver, and Bluetooth pairing to headphones. The host needs USB audio/data and power. Confirm the exact combined carton and operating-system/port support; the official manual excludes TV and hi-fi equipment.
Explore this need in the finder →Does this set currently provide LC3 or guaranteed low-latency headset gaming?
No current LC3 earbud plan is documented: although BTD 700 supports LC3, Sennheiser says the MTW5's LE Audio/LC3 is dependent on a later firmware update. The BTD manual makes game latency and a voice backchannel conditional on extra headphone capabilities; the MTW5 sources reviewed do not establish those modes, so the dongle's promotional latency figure is not attributed to this pair.
Explore this need in the finder →What do the earbud runtime, Multipoint and water limits mean for this package?
The source documents up to six ANC-on music hours per MTW5 earbud charge but does not attach that number to the BTD USB plan, a named codec or Multipoint. Direct earbud Multipoint connects two devices but plays one stream and is enabled in the app. IP54 applies to the earbuds only; the case is not stated to be water-resistant. These remain earbud facts, not additional dongle functions.
Explore this need in the finder →This is a source-based assessment of Sennheiser's U.S. Graphite MOMENTUM True Wireless 5 + BTD 700 Set, associated with earbud article 700350 and adapter article 700434. I have not worn or tested either component. The storefront lists a distinct earbuds-plus-dongle set, not the standard Graphite 700350 earbuds-only package. Copper 700352, Cream 700351, Denim 800041 and Lavender 800044 are separate color variants; Sennheiser publishes no bundle-level retail SKU for any of them.
What the listing establishes about the package
The set page names the MTW5 earbuds and BTD 700 dongle, and the Graphite image depicts the earbuds, case, USB-C dongle and USB-A adapter. An image is not a complete box inventory: the combined listing does not itemize the consolidated carton. The separate component pages and manuals describe each product's usual package, but do not prove every cable, tip, guide or insert ships in this set. Check the exact offer and included pieces with the seller. The pictured components are a guide to the variant, not evidence of performance.
The bundle's functional distinction is a USB Bluetooth source for a compatible host. The earbuds remain the regular MTW5 design: they are not themselves USB headphones, and the BTD does not alter their fit, noise cancellation or case.
Fit and battery claims belong to the earbuds
Sennheiser calls the MTW5 an ear-canal design and lists Hybrid Adaptive ANC. Its manual documents XS, S, M and L silicone tips plus a fit check. This confirms a sealed, tip-based style, not whether the shell will seal comfortably or stay secure in your ears. Try the correct tip without forcing the housing and check the seller's return terms if fit is decisive.
The U.S. specification lists up to six hours of music playback per earbud charge with ANC on, versus up to twelve with ANC off. The separate case-assisted maximum is an overall total under the product page's stated iPhone/mid-volume condition—not one uninterrupted ANC session. No source assigns the six-hour ANC figure to a specific codec, the BTD USB arrangement or Multipoint. I therefore treat it as a broad, codec-unspecified earbud plan rather than evidence for six hours in every setup. It is a manufacturer maximum, not a measurement from this assessment.
The BTD 700 adds a USB route, with host limits
The BTD 700 is a USB-C Bluetooth transmitter. Its manual describes a direct USB-C connection or USB-A through the supplied-type adapter, for phones and PC/Mac; the U.S. specification lists Windows 10 or later, Mac OS 11 or 12, Android 13 or later, and iPhone/iPad with USB-C. It appears as an external sound card without a driver, but the host must supply USB data and power. The manual warns that the protruding dongle can be stressed on a phone and suggests an extension cable.
This is not a universal USB audio bridge. Sennheiser says the BTD is intended for mobile devices and PC/Mac, not TV or hi-fi equipment; its support page notes that most television USB ports are not class-compliant. It is not established here as a television transmitter or console-specific gaming receiver.
Codec and gaming capabilities are not interchangeable
The MTW5 documents SBC, AAC and aptX-family Classic Audio modes, subject to the source and settings. BTD 700's separate list includes SBC, aptX variants and LC3, but Sennheiser says negotiated features depend on the connected headphones. The source-supported shared modes include SBC and the aptX family; the dongle's LC3 does not make MTW5's LE Audio/LC3 available now, since that earbud feature is described as a later-firmware capability. No codec-specific ANC runtime is documented for this bundle.
BTD gaming modes also depend on headphone features. The MTW5 materials reviewed here do not establish the QMAP/Snapdragon gaming or aptX Adaptive 2.1 support associated with the adapter's lowest-latency or voice-backchannel paths. I do not attribute a promotional latency figure or simultaneous game chat to this set.
Keep Multipoint, case charging and water separate
Direct Bluetooth use of the earbuds supports Multipoint with two connected devices but one playback stream; it is off by default and must be enabled in Smart Control Plus. The BTD manual says its transmitter stores one paired headphone profile. These are different arrangements, so do not combine the dongle's one saved pairing with the earbuds' separate Multipoint claim or attach the six-hour ANC figure to either mode.
The MTW5 case supports USB-C and Qi wireless charging. The earbuds are IP54 rated; the case is not stated to be water-resistant. IP54 is not the exact IPX4-buds-only or IP57-buds-and-case option in our finder. Keep the case dry and dry the earbuds before docking; adding a dongle does not change those boundaries.
Separate U.S. bundle finish references
The U.S. selector shows five bundle finishes. These exact variant images are retained separately. Copper, Cream and Graphite images depict the BTD 700 and USB-A adapter; Denim and Lavender show the earbuds and case only. A missing object in an image is not evidence that the set excludes it, and none of these images is a complete carton inventory.

Who should compare this set
Compare Graphite if you want MTW5's sealed tips, ANC and wireless-charge case and also need a separate Bluetooth adapter for a supported USB phone or computer. If you already have a suitable USB source—or use only direct Bluetooth—the standard earbuds-only listing is a different package to compare. The set does not establish personal comfort, real-world endurance, TV/hi-fi use, console compatibility or a guaranteed gaming voice path.
Before buying, match the MTW5 + BTD 700 set name and Graphite finish rather than the regular Graphite earbuds alone. Verify the exact combined carton, dongle and adapter with the seller, then check your host's data-capable powered port and operating system. Article 700350 identifies the earbuds and 700434 the standalone BTD 700; neither is a published bundle SKU.
