Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Is the MOMENTUM True Wireless 4 a sealed in-ear ANC model?
Yes. Sennheiser specifies ear-canal coupling and Hybrid ANC, and the manual lists four tip sizes and three fin sizes. Those options support adjustment, not a guarantee that an individual ear will seal comfortably.
Explore this need in the finder →Can it stay connected to two devices at once?
Sennheiser documents Multipoint switching between two connected devices; the manual says audio playback is possible from only one device at a time. That connection mode has no published codec-specific or ANC-runtime assignment.
Explore this need in the finder →Which codecs are documented, and does LC3 share its two-device mode?
SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX Adaptive/Lossless and LC3 are listed, subject to compatible source support. The reviewed sources do not establish that LC3 uses the same Multipoint route or inherit its runtime; treat those plans separately.
Explore this need in the finder →Does its seven-hour figure meet an ANC runtime requirement?
The August 2026 support sheet says up to seven hours with ANC on, but the instruction manual reverses the ANC-on/off table to 7.5 and 7 hours. The current dated figure is used only as a broad codec- and connection-unspecified maximum; it does not establish seven hours over SBC/AAC/LC3 or Multipoint.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the water rating cover the case, and can the case charge wirelessly?
The earbuds are IP54 dust/splash resistant, but the case is not splash resistant. The case supports Qi and USB-C; the manual says a Qi charging station is ordered separately and does not list it among original package contents.
Explore this need in the finder →What should be checked on an earlier Black Graphite 700365 unit?
Confirm article 700365 and the paired MTW4 R/L earbuds with an MTW4 C case, check battery condition and the offered tip/fin/cable contents, verify firmware and phone compatibility, and obtain clear warranty/return terms. Sennheiser states non-warranty service is unavailable; no unit was inspected.
Explore this need in the finder →This is a source-based assessment of the U.S. MOMENTUM True Wireless 4 Black Graphite, article 700365, a complete pair of earbuds and a charging case. It is not the Black Copper 700367, White Silver 700366, or the separate Gold 700441 and Denim 700449 finishes. Sennheiser's U.S. Legacy Products collection is the recorded source for treating MTW4 as an earlier-generation reference alongside the later MTW5; that editorial lifecycle label says nothing about a particular seller's inventory. No sample was handled, worn or tested for this assessment.
Fit and noise control are adjustable, not guaranteed
Sennheiser specifies ear-canal coupling and supplies four silicone tips, XS through L, plus three ear-fin sizes, S/M/L. The tip seals the canal while the fin helps stabilize the housing. The manual advises choosing sizes for each ear and maintaining a snug tip seal, but neither the size range nor a fit test establishes comfort, retention or a good seal for a particular person.
The system is Hybrid ANC with Transparency Mode. Fit is part of the context: if a tip does not seal well, passive isolation and perceived cancellation may differ. People who want an open ear or cannot tolerate a canal tip should treat ANC capability as no substitute for that wearing-style requirement.
Bluetooth features do not all describe one connection mode
The specification lists Bluetooth 5.4 and SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX Adaptive/Lossless and LC3. aptX requires a compatible source and suitable material; the earbuds cannot make an incompatible phone support it. Auracast is marked firmware-dependent, while LC3's LE Audio route depends on compatible source equipment and software. The codec list is not a sound-quality ranking or proof every device exposes every mode.
The manual says up to six Bluetooth device profiles can be saved and audio playback is possible from one device at a time. Sennheiser's product page separately documents Multipoint: two devices may stay connected and the listener can switch between them. That is not two simultaneous audio streams. It is also not a codec- or ANC-duration claim. This assessment therefore keeps the classic single-source codecs, LC3 and the two-connected-device plan separate rather than combining nearby features into an unsupported all-at-once scenario.
Seven ANC hours is the current published boundary, with a manual conflict
The August 11, 2026 Sennheiser support specification says up to 7.0 hours of music with ANC on, up to 7.5 hours with ANC off, and up to 30 hours overall with the case. Its stated test condition—iPhone, mid volume at 85 dB—is attached to the case-assisted overall figure, not explicitly to the per-charge seven-hour ANC maximum. The individual ANC-on maximum is codec-unspecified, and the documentation does not assign it to Multipoint.
There is a material source conflict: the supplied instruction manual's specification table reverses the two earbud conditions, listing 7.5 hours with ANC activated and 7 hours with ANC deactivated. The current dated support specification and the global product specification agree on 7 hours ANC-on and 7.5 hours ANC-off; this assessment uses that later, consistent value as the broad numeric boundary while preserving the manual's conflicting wording here. It does not turn the seven hours into an SBC-, AAC-, aptX-, LC3- or Multipoint-specific duration. Nor should the 30-hour case total be treated as one uninterrupted session or a prediction for an older rechargeable battery. A requirement for seven ANC hours over a chosen codec or while connected to two devices is not established by the evidence reviewed.
Qi and USB-C are case features; IP54 is for the buds
The charging case accepts USB-C and Qi wireless charging. The manual's original package list includes a USB-C cable but says a Qi charging station is to be ordered separately; wireless charging capability does not establish that a pad comes with a resale unit. The earbuds carry IP54 dust and splash protection. Sennheiser explicitly says the case is not splash-proof, so the buds' IP54 mark does not transfer to the case. It also is not permission to swim, shower or immerse them. Follow the manual's drying instructions before returning wet earbuds to the case, and keep the case dry.
Match the exact finish and check the condition
The official U.S. refurbished product data and separate Sennheiser support-and-spares records identify five article/finish configurations: Black Graphite 700365, Black Copper 700367, White Silver 700366, Gold 700441 and Denim 700449. The first three have the manufacturer support page's exact color names and U.S. article numbers; Gold and Denim appear as separate U.S. refurbished variants and individual spares records. The evidence reviewed identifies finishes, not a functional distinction among them, so each is treated as a same-family appearance variant. The exact Black Graphite image in this article shows the earbuds only; it does not establish that an offer includes a case or all original accessories.
Sennheiser's Black Graphite spares page says non-warranty service is unavailable for this model. Before considering an earlier unit, ask the seller to demonstrate that both earbuds charge, connect and play, confirm the case is the matching MTW4 C, inspect battery condition as best the seller can document, and verify the return, warranty and accessory terms. Check the selected finish's exact article number rather than relying on a generic family title. A manufacturer specification does not establish a used unit's remaining battery capacity, firmware state, completeness, seller reliability or price.
MTW4 is a plausible comparison for someone seeking sealed-tip ANC, several source-dependent codec options, device switching, and a Qi-capable USB-C case. Its useful published ANC boundary is broad rather than codec- or Multipoint-specific, and its two-device feature switches sources rather than mixing streams. The conflicting manual runtime table, buds-only water rating, unrated case and older-unit service limits matter more than a headline case-total figure. These are documentation-based distinctions, not hands-on findings or a claim about current stock.
