Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Does this model meet an open-ear wearing-style requirement?
Sennheiser markets ACCENTUM Open as an open design and classifies the ear coupling as in-concha. The manual shows a bud seated in the outer ear without a canal tip; it is not a sealed in-ear fit. Whether its housing feels secure in a particular ear is unknown without an individual fit check.
Explore this need in the finder →Does this model include active noise cancellation?
No. Sennheiser lists ANC as not applicable. The open form leaves the canal unsealed; it is a poor match if active cancellation or a sealed passive barrier is essential.
Explore this need in the finder →Which documented Classic Audio codec plans are available?
The U.S. specification and manual list both AAC and SBC. Each is represented as its own one-source Bluetooth Classic Audio plan; the two-codec list does not establish that either codec's playback ceiling applies while using multipoint.
Explore this need in the finder →Which documented Classic Audio codec plans are available?
The U.S. specification and manual list both SBC and AAC. This answer concerns Classic Audio; neither a codec-specific ANC runtime nor codec behavior during multipoint is established.
Explore this need in the finder →Can the product connect to two devices at once?
Sennheiser's U.S. product copy describes multipoint and the instruction manual lists two active Bluetooth connections. This supports a two-device connection requirement, not simultaneous playback of two audio streams. Codec-specific operation while both devices are active is not established.
Explore this need in the finder →Do the earbuds and charging case meet the exact IPX4 earbuds-only filter?
Sennheiser specifies IPX4 splash protection for the earbuds only and explicitly says the case is not splash-proof. The manual warns against immersion, shower use, charging wet earbuds and leaving the case damp.
Explore this need in the finder →The Cream ACCENTUM Open is a non-sealing, open-style true-wireless earbud, not a sealed in-ear model with ANC. This assessment is for Sennheiser's U.S. Cream configuration, article number 700446. It draws on the manufacturer's U.S. product listing, current support specifications, operating manual and support-period record; no listening, fit, call-quality or battery test was performed.
An open shape is the main decision
Sennheiser classifies the ear coupling as “in-concha” while presenting ACCENTUM Open as an open design. In practical terms, the earbuds sit at the ear without a silicone tip sealing the canal. That is a meaningful alternative for people who dislike a canal seal or want nearby sound to remain more audible. It is not a promise that every wearer will find the housing secure or comfortable: the manual's fit instructions still tell the wearer to twist each bud until it sits snugly. Individual ear shape and movement matter, and the documentation cannot substitute for a try-on.
The open fit also has a clear limit. Sennheiser's current specification sheet lists active noise cancellation as not applicable. There is no sealed tip to provide the passive barrier that a closed in-ear design can create. It therefore makes sense to compare this pair for an open wearing style, not as a way to quiet a train, office or airplane. Leaving the ear canal unsealed may keep some surroundings audible, but how much depends on the sound level and environment.
Simple Bluetooth formats, with two connections
The current U.S. support sheet lists Bluetooth 5.3, Classic Audio profiles and the SBC and AAC codecs. The instruction manual lists up to two active connections; the U.S. product copy describes multipoint switching between devices. These facts support a two-device connection choice, but do not mean two audio streams play simultaneously. A phone and laptop should both support the Bluetooth mode you intend to use, and switching behavior is still worth checking with the exact hosts.
Sennheiser's manual says no companion app is required. The earbuds have touch-control panels and an in-ear sensor, and the right or left bud can be used alone. Those documented conveniences do not establish a particular person's preferred control feel or call performance. If a specific call workflow, touch gesture or device combination is a deal-breaker, check the current instructions and your own host settings before buying.
Battery claims differ across official material
The current U.S. support specification lists up to six hours of music playback from the earbuds and up to 24 hours overall with the case, using an iPhone at a stated mid-volume level of 85 dB. The instruction manual gives a different test setup: up to 6.5 hours on the earbuds and 21.5 hours from the case battery with AAC at 50% volume, which totals 28 hours. Sennheiser's product-series page also promotes up to 28 hours. These are manufacturer claims with different stated conditions, not measured results, and the current documents do not resolve why the figures differ. Treat them as ceilings rather than guaranteed daily endurance; no ANC-on runtime applies because this model has no ANC.
Charging and moisture boundaries
The manual specifies USB-C charging for the case. The reviewed sources do not establish a wireless-charging case, so do not assume Qi support from the word “wireless” in the product name. Sennheiser rates the earbuds IPX4 for splashes, but explicitly says the charging case is not splash-proof. The manual advises drying the earbuds before charging and keeping moisture away from the case. This is not a swimming, showering or wet-case setup.
The manual's package list names the two earbuds, charging case, a roughly 0.4 m USB-C-to-USB-A charging cable, quick guide, safety guide and compliance sheet. The Cream U.S. store variant is 700446. The same page lists Black 700430 and Blush 800090; the U.S. specification article calls that 800090 finish Sakura. The images below identify those three listed finishes only: they do not prove a seller's package is complete or that the finish changes function. Sennheiser's support-period table marks ACCENTUM Open active through March 19, 2030; that support status is not a promise that a particular U.S. color is in stock or that an older offer is new.
Three U.S. finish references
The U.S. product selector maps article 700430 to Black and article 800090 to Blush; the support specification uses Sakura for 800090, and the source image filename uses Pink. I retain the store's Blush label here and treat the SKU as the identity bridge, not the artwork's filename.
Who should compare it?
Compare the Cream ACCENTUM Open if you want a non-sealing style, SBC or AAC over Bluetooth Classic, and documentation for two active device connections. Look elsewhere if ANC, a sealed tip, a confirmed wireless case or a longer verified per-charge runtime is essential. Before purchase, match the exact Cream SKU, confirm the seller's box contents and return terms, and consider whether the open fit works for your ears and surroundings. The rating, code and published maximums describe documented features—not a fit guarantee or hands-on verdict.
